Who are we looking for?The Space and Resilient Communications and Systems unit is looking for a satellite communications engineer. The candidate will work in the development of 5G NTN systems and their applicability to EU-GOVSATCOM. Moreover, the candidate will participate in experimental activities involving final users and the transmission via a real satellite.
What do we offer?We offer an indefinite contract of scientific technical activities. Once this project finishes, you will join other projects in the same research line, subject to budget availability. Annual gross salary according to the profile of the candidate. Full-time contract: 7.5 h/day.
Flexibility. Expected professional category: R1. Exceptional candidates may be considered even if they do not meet all the requirements. In this case, the professional category will be based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant according to CTTC professional categories procedure. Tenure track: Career progression with possibility of stabilization through a permanent structural contract. Prospect start date: 01/12/2023.

Required qualification/skills/experience: Bachelor degree in telecommunications or similar (25 points).Fluent knowledge of English both spoken and written (25 points).Other skills that are valuable, but not mandatory are: Master degree in telecommunications or similar (10 points).Knowledge of programming languages (C, C++, Python) (20 points).Knowledge of software defined radio systems (10 points).Knowledge of satellite communications (10 points).Even if you do not meet all the requirements, we encourage you to apply.
