CREAF is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on the BIORESILMED project (Promotion of Bioeconomy and Climate Resilience in Mediterranean Landscapes), funded by Fundación Biodiversida within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (PRTR), funded by the European Union - Next Generation and EXOCAT, funded by Departament de Territori i Sostenibilitat.A part-time contract is offered (12 hours per week) with immediate incorporation after selection, with a duration of 12 months, with the possibility of extension if the project is consolidated.
The salary offered is €gross per year.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Coordination of various urban ecology projects developed with the city council and the metropolitan area of Barcelona.Analysis and management of exotic plants in the city of Barcelona.Analysis of the effects of drought on urban greenery.Monitoring of butterflies in the parks of the city of Barcelona.Monitoring of the biological control of the pine processionary in the parks of Barcelona.REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree related to Biology, Environmental Biology or Environmental Sciences.PhD in terrestrial ecology or similar.Research experience in foreign centers; Catalan spoken and written correctly.Participation in national and international research projects.Experience as an environmental consultant in landscape and invasion ecology projects.ASSESSABLE CONDITIONS University teaching experience.Training and/or experience in transfer and impact.Demonstrable knowledge of written, spoken and read English.Ability to work in a team.Candidates who have a recognized disability and accredited equal to or greater than 33% will be prioritized, if the disability is compatible with the proper performance of the job.SELECTION PROCESS AND CRITERIA Admission of candidates: applicants must submit a CV and a brief cover letter with a statement of interest until December.Pre-selection: determination of compliance with the minimum requirements of the offer.Selection: assessment of the preselected candidates by scoring based on objective criteria and by interview of shortlisted candidates.Final decision: in case of finding the suitable candidate, the election will be formally communicated to this person, and the identification of the chosen person will be published on CREAF job openings section and with personalized notification (by mail) when the process progresses.OFFER IN PDF#J-18808-Ljbffr
