Ontex was founded in Belgium in 1979 and is listed on Euronext Brussels. To reinforce our Manufacturing team we are looking for an Operations Manager. Mission and Key Tasks In this role you are the key driver of our local Production and Maintenance team servicing 15 production lines. You coordinate the interactions with the other departments (distribution, production planning) to deliver the manufacturing KPIs. This means that: You promote the 0 accident culture on site. You promote the continuous improvement culture on site. You lead and coach the core activity of production and the supporting maintenance team to deliver the manufacturing KPIs. You drive elimination of losses/waste on site. You continuously improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). You lead the manufacturing site through autonomous manufacturing units (AMU). You have 1 common agenda for production and maintenance and set priorities for both. You have a long-term view in several steps to become the best performer in the medical device industry. Your main tasks and responsibilities: Giving leadership and direction to your teams in production and maintenance. Coaching the Manufacturing team and the Technical team in mindset and behaviors of leading a team and supporting the business, while delivering the KPI's. Delivering specific business objectives on OEE improvements. Targets are fixed during the yearly budget reviews and are based on the operating strategy that is aligned with the Group Supply Chain department. Identifying opportunities and creating solutions for elimination of losses/waste. Ensuring good practices are exchanged between the different AMUs. Continuously assessing and improving the working processes inside the Manufacturing area as well as in interaction with other Support Functions. Maintaining compliance with company policies, safety standards, quality specifications, and regulatory requirements. Background and Experience You have a master's degree in Engineering. You have a wide experience in a manufacturing environment of at least 10 years. You have knowledge of lean principles (i.E., waste identification, OEE and limit analysis, SMED). You know how to drive performance improvement across working groups to achieve high performance. You possess people leadership skills and can lead diverse teams. You are a leading example of agility and can motivate your team in times of change. You are an excellent communicator capable of building strong relationships.
