Job Responsibilities The responsibilities of this Senior Buyer role will be to manage the end-to-end sourcing process and the implementation of the category strategy in goods and services for the engines, APU, and nacelles in the IAG airlines.
This role includes working with stakeholders (inside and outside of Group Procurement) to standardise/simplify specifications, define sourcing strategy, define procurement needs and RFO scope, analyse RFP output, negotiate commercial terms and contract drafting (including remote and in-person negotiations).
The Engines category covers all sourcing processes for all IAG airline fleets.
Key objectives are cost reductions, cash improvement, transaction automation, e-Sourcing, supply base rationalization, risk mitigation, and ensuring supplier contractual compliance.
Qualifications To succeed in this role, you are likely to have: A proven track record in end-to-end procurement within a matrix organization with an emphasis on successful negotiations, contract drafting, and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
3 years experience in engines procurement is highly desired.
Strong business and financial acumen with demonstrable experience connected with supporting commercial aircraft engineering international procurement projects, with engines and/or APU and/or nacelles procurement experience specifically highly desirable.
Proven abilities to influence, align diverse views and gain consensus, providing clarity and direction on what is to be achieved and break down barriers that get in the way of effective team working.
For language skills: English is mandatory and Spanish is an asset.
A willingness to travel and work in a multi-site/location environment.
