Plan delivery routes or monitor the volume flow, affecting tens of thousands of packages at EU level. You will be accountable for planning accuracy, cost, and customer experience. In addition, you will be instrumental in developing best practices and standard work for the network. Ensure targets and service deadlines are met, according to regulatory requirements. Communicate with various departments, facilitating the flow of information between different stakeholders and resolving any potential issues that impact business continuity. Conduct research into process improvement initiatives and take real-time decisions by taking a step back at strategic intervals to take in the bigger picture. Maintain and report up to date and accurate statistics, management reports, and analysis. A day in the life: This position is office-based.As a Logistics Scheduler, you will work across the EU in a cross-functional environment with the Supply Chain, Distribution Centers, and Ground Transportation teams, in order to support our day-to-day operations to ensure the timely delivery of Heavy/Bulky shipments to our customers.About the team: Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfillment to delivery and returns. What sets this service apart from others is the extra level of customer care. Not only do we deliver large items, but we unpack, assemble, and install them, and take away old items where needed. With a focus on safety, productivity, and innovation, we're changing the way customers buy and receive large goods for the better.We have ambitious plans to expand our specialist fulfillment centers and delivery stations across the UK and Europe. While those of us who work in delivery stations will do some night shifts, most of us work during the day.
