We are seeking a Montessori Assistant Teacher with near-native or native-level English proficiency to join our team at Montessori Sant Cugat School in Sant Cugat del Vallès.
In this role, your primary responsibility will be to lead the English language program for children aged 15 months to 3 years old, focusing on developing oral communication skills through engaging and meaningful interactions.
Using songs, books, stories, and Montessori language cards, you will introduce and expand their English vocabulary and linguistic understanding.
Your day will involve speaking to the children in English, describing their actions, surroundings, and emotions with enthusiasm and care—for example,
"Oh!
I see you love the color green!" or "Wow!
You've been working so hard with the glue stick!" —and encouraging them to repeat and use new words in a joyful and loving way.
In addition, you will support the lead teacher to help create a nurturing and respectful Montessori environment, fostering the children's independence, autonomy, and love of learning.
Key Responsibilities: Leading and enhancing the English language program, fostering children's oral communication skills, vocabulary, and sentence structure in English.Engaging with children using Montessori principles, providing meaningful language input throughout their daily routines and activities.Observing children, documenting their progress, and tailoring language activities to suit their individual needs.Collaborating with the lead teacher to maintain a respectful, organized, and engaging classroom environment. What We Are Looking For: Near-native or native English proficiency, with an exceptional ability to model correct language use and inspire children's linguistic development.Education or experience in Primary Education, Educational Psychology, Pedagogy, Teacher Training, or related fields is highly valued.Passion for nurturing children's growth, curiosity, and independence in line with Montessori principles.Strong organizational and multitasking skills to thrive in a dynamic classroom setting.
