POSITION HW Installation Design Engineer LOCATION Madrid DURATION Permanent The Hardware Installation Design Engineer is responsible for the design of all necessary drawings for detailed design of an electronic interlocking, from the basic drawings including the devices positioned on the track, to the specific drawings defining all the electrical connections between devices.
In addition, takes in charge the technical choices for the design of signalling cabinets.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE SOME OF THE FOLLOWING Basic design definition Track layout design Technical room layout design Train detection systems configuration (Axle counter, track circuits, etc) Development of typical installation drawings and definition of installation constraints Technical support to installation and commissioning activities considered into the project scope Development of as-built drawings Support to installation team in track surveys Support to tender team to define detailed design workload estimation SKILLS EDUCATION Education Engineering Degree (Master equivalent or above) in Electricity or Electronics Experience 3-5 years with experience as Railways Engineer or similar in other markets.
Competencies Largely multidisciplinary and polyvalent profile (mainly electrical, also mechanical is valuable) Knowledge in computer science allowing to use standard informatic tools Knowledge on electrical design SW such as AutoCAD.
Technical knowledge of the railway world Ability to work with remote contacts in a multidisciplinary context.
Ability to be the representative of the company for our customers Rigorous, reliable, autonomous Language skills Good knowledge of English language allowing to collaborate within a technical world in an international context.
French is valuable.
TERMS CONDITIONS Driving license.
Sometimes travel will be required, especially during the preliminary design and commissioning phase of the project.
