As the Head of Digital Risk & Control for Swiss Re, you will be responsible for all first-line IT Governance, Risk and Control activities - ensuring risks are identified, controls applied, and the performance is monitored, measured, and reported to our technology and business leaders. Your team will drive transparency and continuous improvement in our digital operations and risk-taking activities globally and for all lines of business across Swiss Re. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.

About the team The Digital Risk & Control team is the focal point for Risk & Control related activities within all IT domains of Swiss Re, supporting all business activities including enterprise technology, corporate insurance, reinsurance, asset management, finance, and our portfolio of digital SaaS (software-as-a-service) solutions. You will be integral to driving our risk culture in a business which prides itself on robust risk management and having integrity in everything we do. The team leads the implementation of the IT Governance & Risk Framework.

In your role, you will: Lead the Digital Risk & Control team for Swiss Re.Be accountable for leading the implementation of the digital risk framework across Swiss Re.Support the digital leadership team in establishing a strong risk culture across digital operations.Ensure threats and risks are understood, and that controls are designed and operating effectively.Embed controls into operational procedures by working with our digital teams to automate, measure performance and continuously improve our risk position.Ensure compliance with rules, regulations and policies - ensuring we meet our risk appetite and driving corrective actions where opportunities exist to do so.Establish operational transparency and reporting with continuous monitoring and assessment of controls.Actively contribute in the development of our overall strategy as an active member of the leadership group.Lead, inspire and develop the Digital Risk and Controls team by establishing an environment which enables autonomy and mastery for all team members.Provide a development program which enables all staff to continuously enhance their skills and provide space for continuous learning and growth for the team.Be someone who believes in continuous innovation, is curious and relentless in finding a better way every day.Be a leader who understands that it takes a diverse set of skills and individuals to form a highly effective operations team. Your qualifications What we need from you: Passion, drive and a belief in the value of technology risk management as an enabler of business performance.Demonstrated expertise and high level of motivation as leader for an international team with the ability to work in a Hybrid setting.Experience in leading Digital Risk Teams in complex corporate environments.Ability to build a strong collaborative network within IT and business departments.The ability to communicate with a broad spectrum of stakeholders effectively from Board and Executive Management level to IT development teams.A track record of successful delivery in IT governance-related roles, such as IT audit, operational risk management, and cyber security.Appropriate professional qualifications, e.g. CIA, CGEIT, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP certifications.Excellent knowledge of contemporary technology operations and solutions including public cloud.Be fluent in data and analytics and how to use data in driving operational improvement.Acting with high level of integrity, result oriented and composure under pressure.Strong communication, influencing and collaboration skills.Excellent command of both written and spoken English. Nice-to-have: Experience in risk consulting and/or audit management.Knowledge of direct insurance and re-insurance business.
