You would report to a Straumann Group Executive Member of the Board, our EVP, Global Head of Orthodontics. Since its acquisition by Straumann Group, ClearCorrect has been heavily invested in, and Orthodontics is positioned as a "must win" category where Straumann Group will further invest and grow. We are looking for a global leadership team member to secure ClearCorrect's position as a world leading Orthodontics brand trusted by Orthodontic KOLs, Orthodontists, Dentists and patients. You will play a major part in contributing to the ClearCorrect worldwide success story.
Within the ClearCorrect global leadership team you will lead the Straumann Group ClearCorrect clinical strategy, global education strategy and KOL engagement strategy.
As leader of the Global Clinical Strategy for ClearCorrect Aligners, you will develop the next generation of clinical treatment protocols taking feedback from the external KOL network to prioritize Aligner feature development. You would work closely with our R&D and software development teams to ensure that new features and practitioner / patient needs are correctly implemented in final clinical workflows, treatment protocols and software. You would lead a new Global Education Strategy prioritizing two groups; new practitioners wanting to become first time Orthodontists, and experienced Orthodontists wanting to upgrade their expertise to an advanced treatment level, as well as training them in our product capabilities and protocols. Straumann is the most trusted brand in dentistry, and Clinical Evidence has been the major pillar in reinforcing credibility and trust in our products and treatment protocols. You would take leadership in driving our Orthodontics Key Opinion Leader Engagement Strategy. By liaising with world leaders in the Orthodontics KOL network, you would understand practitioner and patient needs, engage them in supporting proof of concept studies and clinical trials to build further clinical evidence for our products, bolstering our position as a world leader. Your accountabilities: Participate in developing the quality and competitiveness of our next generation clear aligner product solution with a focus on:
treatment planning software feature prioritisation, treatment planning protocol assessment & optimisation Define a new ClearCorrect Orthodontic Clinical Education strategy and build a team to support:
new customers willing to start clear aligner therapy in their practice experienced clinicians willing to expand indications and increase usage Evaluate the need of Treatment planning external support (TPS) for low experienced users. Select the best partner and coordinate implementation. Develop and maintain a global KOL network in the orthodontics community to solidify ClearCorrect brand credibility and reputation. Design and initiate clinical evaluations to offer further clinical evidence reinforcing the quality of the ClearCorrect solutions, and providing input into development of next generation products. Support M&A evaluation by assessing the clinical dimension of potential targeted assets. Partner with the other Straumann Group franchises (Implantology and Digital) to develop a multidisciplinary approach in order to support clinicians offering holistic dental treatment solutions.
Experience / Person Profile Qualified Orthodontist or Dentist with practice experience working with orthodontic treatments and patients for a number of years. Strong understanding of Orthodontics clinical protocols and practices with the ability to translate technical needs to education / training / software product feature design needs. Existing KOL relationships in the Orthodontic community, with confidence in public speaking. Experience working in a cross-cultural environment is preferred. People leadership, building and leading a direct reporting team, and also leading without direct authority in a global matrix. Strong business acumen to be able to evaluate M&A opportunities, prioritizing clinical feature and software investments to support mid term and long term ROI. Corporate experience in a medical device company or Clinical Research Organization is preferred, but not essential. Ability to travel KOL relationship management globally with a focus on the USA, Europe, Japan and China. Regular travel to Basel, Switzerland global headquarters. The role could be based in either our Basel, Switzerland HQ or Madrid, Spain.
