At the heart of electric mobility, Valeo Power brings together expertise in thermal management systems and propulsion systems. This division develops innovations that contribute to the mobility of tomorrow by reducing pollutant emissions and maximizing vehicle autonomy.
The site of Fuenlabrada based in Spain belongs to the Power Division. We are looking for a VIE R&D Mechanical Engineer for 12 months within the team.
Your challenges:
You work with R&D Project Engineers to obtain requirements for the design part of the project.
You prepare component and assembly 3D models / 2D drawings and related technical documentation, performing customer package and assembly checks using available CAD Systems (CATIA V5, ANSYS).
You check the conformity of the completed design with current design rules.
You design products considering failure mode analysis.
You assist with feasibility studies and support supplier activities.
You keep up to date with new standards and general market information in the industry.
You work innovatively and creatively within the group with a particular focus on protecting innovation and IP through the patent process.
You ensure proper storage, archiving, and distribution of all issued documents in agreement with the R&D Project Engineers.
You advise on system compatibility issues, data management, and security; make improvement suggestions.
Let's talk about you:
You have graduated with a Master's degree in Engineering.
You already have experience in a similar position in an automotive/production company.
You master CATIA V5 (part, assembly, and drafting workbenches).
You are skilled in dimensioning and tolerancing design.
You have good knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, and alignment of the products you create).
You also have good knowledge of Material Mechanical properties and simulation tools (Finite Element Analysis), Stress, Deflection, Modal Analysis, and Dynamics Analysis.
You have a fluent level of English.
You have good communication skills, an international mindset, and are open-minded to new cultures and ways of working and thinking.
You are humble, a good listener, have a positive attitude, are professional, and possess a sense of diplomacy.
