Vice President Strategy & Sustainability, Vitrolife GroupWe are looking to recruit a Vice President Strategy & Sustainability to join our executive management team. The selected individual will be responsible for overseeing our strategic initiatives and sustainability efforts, defining and implementing our strategy, and optimizing our structure and processes to ensure sustainable growth and development. This role will also help to coordinate sustainability efforts across our various business areas, ensuring that we are best placed to serve our customers and meet our environmental goals. The position will be based in Gothenburg, Sweden or Valencia, Spain.As the VP Strategy & Sustainability, you will be responsible for:Corporate Development: Leading M&A, divestment, and partnership projects in collaboration with the EMT and the broader organization.Strategic Planning: Coordinating the definition and implementation of the Vitrolife Group's strategic plans.Project Management Office (PMO): Managing the PMO to ensure the successful execution of strategic projects.Market Intelligence: Acting as the centralized repository for market information to support informed decision-making.Sustainability Initiatives: Developing and implementing sustainability strategies to reduce the company's environmental footprint and promote sustainable practices across all operations.Sustainable Product Development: Collaborating with R&D to integrate sustainability into product development, ensuring products are designed with lifecycle impacts in mind.Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with stakeholders, including investors, customers, and regulatory bodies, to communicate and advance our sustainability agenda.Performance Monitoring: Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for sustainability and strategy execution, reporting progress to the CEO and the board of directors.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participating in cross-functional meetings and initiatives, providing strategic and sustainability insights to support decision-making processes.Leadership and Culture: Building and maintaining a high-performance culture that fosters innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, with a strong emphasis on sustainability.Talent Development: Developing talent and ensuring the Vitrolife Group has a strong pipeline of future leaders committed to strategic and sustainable growth.To be successful in this role, you should have:An academic degree in business administration, engineering, environmental science, or a related field with a bachelor's degree as a minimum.Minimum 10 years of experience in senior-level strategic and sustainability management roles in a MedTech or life science company.Mandatory is experience in buying companies from identifying strategic targets, to conducting thorough due diligence, working on valuation models, integration plans and deal closures.Global experience having worked in different countries around the world.Proven track record of leading and managing complex strategic initiatives and sustainability projects across multiple business areas, functions, and regions.Strong knowledge of corporate development, strategic planning, sustainability practices, and the regulatory landscape.Experience in integrating sustainability into business strategy and operations.Strategic thinking with a strong ability to oversee execution and ensure key performance metrics are met.Ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced international environment.Be a team player without bias for a particular function, region, or business area.Flexibility to travel and a commitment to be at one of the Vitrolife Group sites 4 days per week.Fluent English mandatory, Spanish would be a benefit and preferably one other language.Contact and applicationInterviews will take place on an ongoing basis; the position may be filled before the last application date so make sure to apply as soon as possible.For any questions, please contact; SVP HR&Sustainability Frank Pettersson, ****** look forward to receiving your application!
