Overview: The VP of Product Development reports to the SVP of Development and Construction and is responsible for strategically driving Prime's data center projects to completion from various stages of development. This role works closely with the Construction team and coordinates with key departments and team members to ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget, and to customer specifications.
Responsibilities: Develop project management procedures based on customer requirementsEstablish and monitor project schedules for on-time, cost effective, and quality completionManage Product Development Managers and Analysts, and subsequent budgets and projectsLead efforts for zoning and pre-application paperwork with appropriate city divisionsManage permitting life cycle for each data center siteCoordinate with finance team to ensure projects are on-time payment within budgetRegularly update senior leadership on progress of projects and provide recommendationsCreate and present a concise project status update for executive level consumptionAct as a liaison between Solutions Engineering and Construction teams to communicate critical customization requests from clientsAssist procurement by communicating project cost estimates and necessary delivery deadlinesQualifications: 15+ Years of Proven experience in product development, project management, or a related role in the data center industry.Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, OR relevant experience preferredStrong knowledge of data center design principles, construction processes, and regulatory requirements.Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex project challenges.Familiarity with budgeting, scheduling, and procurement processes in the context of data center development.Prime Data Centers is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
