Prime Data Centers develops, acquires, and operates data centers for some of the world's largest enterprises. A private firm owned by a group controlling $6 billion in assets, with a 15-year tenure in technology and real estate development, Prime provides customers with ownership options and dynamic leasing models, defining a true corporate partnership. Overview: The VP of Product Development reports to the SVP of Development and Construction and is responsible for strategically driving Prime's data center projects to completion from various stages of development. This role works closely with the Construction team and coordinates with key departments and team members to ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget, and to customer specifications. Responsibilities: Develop project management procedures based on customer requirements Establish and monitor project schedules for on-time, cost effective, and quality completion Manage Product Development Managers and Analysts, and subsequent budgets and projects Lead efforts for zoning and pre-application paperwork with appropriate city divisions Manage permitting life cycle for each data center site Coordinate with finance team to ensure projects are on-time payment within budget Regularly update senior leadership on progress of projects and provide recommendations Create and present a concise project status update for executive level consumption Act as a liaison between Solutions Engineering and Construction teams to communicate critical customization requests from clients Assist procurement by communicating project cost estimates and necessary delivery deadlines Qualifications: 15+ Years of Proven experience in product development, project management, or a related role in the data center industry. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, OR relevant experience preferred Strong knowledge of data center design principles, construction processes, and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex project challenges. Familiarity with budgeting, scheduling, and procurement processes in the context of data center development.
