Job Description Verisk is a rapidly growing company that provides data, analytics, and technology to the global insurance industry. Within Verisk, the Extreme Events Solutions business provides solutions to our clients to manage the risk from a wide range of events. This is a client-facing role tasked with leading our team of Model PMs and bringing a new approach to our vision on how we gather market requirements and scope global models based on client requirements, how we communicate with markets about models and loss changes, interact and educate industry bodies (e.g., clients, regulators, rating agencies, etc.), driving our strategy for advanced model communications and more. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Product Management for Extreme Event Solutions, you will lead the team to align with the vision and drive execution of model related initiatives.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling the Model Product Management team and help deliver on the vision above.
Own the creation and maintenance of model roadmap while working closely with stakeholders to ensure we are building models in line with our client needs and latest science.
Drive efficiency of processes including scope finalization, stakeholder updates and approvals.
Represent Verisk EES in client conversations on model roadmaps and key model positioning.
Provide thought leadership on opportunities and challenges in the industry on Extreme event risk.
Help define our Climate product strategy.
Meet goals and success metrics for the product management function; oversee analysis and evaluation of all model programs.
Hire, develop and coach a highly motivated and driven team of Model product managers and product owners in alignment with the overall vision.
Qualifications Deep understanding of catastrophe modeling and insurance industry implications across the value chain.
Experience of 15+ years in insurance industry in key cat modeling roles or with modeling vendors in similar role.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization, clients and industry professionals.
Excellent leadership and coaching skills to develop a team of Model Product Managers.
Proven experience in a senior leadership role with a strong track record of cross-functional collaboration.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate complex organizational structures.
