As an EMEA Project Manager (PM), you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of major projects for strategic customers across EMEA.
Such projects are mainly for data center fit-out but could include other types of large and complex projects requiring site works. Eaton's Data Centre projects can involve every aspect of power distribution from low to medium voltage, UPS (uninterrupted power supply), and automation such as EPMS (Energy Power Monitoring System). The PM brings electrical expertise, and as Eaton also offers DCIM (Data Centre Infrastructure Management) and SCADA systems, experience with automation is a definite asset. The PM is expected to provide technical and customer knowledge leadership within the wider organization.
Your main responsibilities: Lead the execution of the project and foster a Health and Safety culture within the project with the support of our EHS specialist.Manage time, quality, and cost commitment for the project and drive change orders in cooperation with engineering, supply chain, and site teams.Run the project financials (Revenue recognition, cash, risk & opportunities, Profit margin).Manage the customer contract and specifications and ensure alignment within the team with the contract.Act as the main point of contact between EATON and the customer for its projects, ensuring customer relationship management for the entire duration of the project.Lead needs with Eaton internal engineering teams to align on the definition of deliverables as per technical specifications and customer requirements.Identify supplier needs and coordinate with supply chain for new supplier qualification, ensuring competitiveness of the solution.Control and support field operations tasks with respect to EHS, scope, schedule, and quality.Continually identify ways to improve project execution and share learning, developing new initiatives based on analysis and learning from sites as well as overall customer trends.Site assignment for a short period of time may be necessary depending on project execution progress.Qualifications: Your essential skills we are looking for: Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree from an accredited institution with a strong preference toward electrical engineering.Several years of customer project/site management experience plus hands-on site works in Data Centers.Experience with other large and complex industrial projects will also be considered, especially if they included works in automation.Technical skills: Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies - PMP certification is a plus.Contract management & Commercial awareness.Site activities on construction site with general contractor interface.Good knowledge of electrical components of power distribution.Ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics.Knowledge of the datacenter environment is a plus.Strong knowledge of / experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, and MS Project).Soft skills: Ability to stay organized and work autonomously.Strong, self-directed, collaborative team player with interpersonal skills.Comfortable providing technical presentations to peers, customers, and leadership regarding the details of technical issues and project status.Then we want to hear about you!
