Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, or EnologyMin. 2 years of laboratory experienceStrong organizational skills and the ability to multi-taskJob Responsibilities:Overseeing and administering the day-to-day operation of the LabPurchasing all required lab equipment and supplies as necessaryCalibrating and maintaining lab equipment in good working conditionMaintaining a clean and orderly laboratory spaceDetailed record keeping of lab results and maintaining of wine database systemPreparing reagents, standards, and solutionsPerforming juice or wine analysis in a timely fashion, including but not limited to pH, TA, VA, ALC, DO, Glu/Fru, FSO2, TSO2, color index, L-Malic, YAN, heat/cold stabilitySetting up various wine bench trials as requested by the winemaking teamCollecting samples from tanks, barrels, and binsBottling QC: tank preparation according to winemaker's specification, packaging evaluation, fill heights, cork moisture, vacuum test, DODirecting and supervising production staff to assist in performing sampling, additions, inoculations, and other enology-related tasks as necessaryEnsuring and monitoring regulatory legal complianceActing as the Winery's liaison with other wine labsParticipating in the interviewing and hiring of temporary supplemental production staff during the peak production season, supervising and directing their workParticipating in winemaking-related marketing and promotional events, as requestedAll other such enology-related duties as the Enologist believes are necessary or as the Winery may reasonably require from time to timeJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: 1,500.00€ - 2,000.00€ per monthExperience: enologist: 2 years (preferred)Language: English (preferred)#J-18808-Ljbffr
