Vessels planner / Operational coordinator (full-time)For the Operations department at our head office in Rotterdam, we are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with a good team spirit. This is a challenging position in which you are also expected to be able to operate independently.The organisationWEC Lines is a dynamic medium-sized maritime transport organisation specialising in container transport. With +50 years of experience, our services mainly concentrate on Belgium, Germany, England, Portugal, Spain (incl. the Canary Islands), Morocco, North and East Africa and the Red Sea. Our head office is in Rotterdam and we also have branches in e.g. Hamburg, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Barcelona, Nairobi and Mombasa.ResponsibilitiesPlanning/arranging cargo on vesselsLiaising with agents worldwideCoordinating with captains, terminals and other linesSafely stow hazardous cargoAdministrative handling of vesselsProfileYou have a higher professional education level and a completed maritime educationDemonstrable experience as container transport ocean freight plannerYou are collegial and at the same time able to work independentlyYou have strong analytical skillsYou are in possession of your own transportGood command of the English language, Dutch is a plus but not an absolute necessityYou are able to think in terms of possibilities and solutionsFurthermore, you have commercial insight, are proactive and have a flexible attitudeYou are a resident in the NetherlandsOfferA varied and independent position in an informal working environment.A competitive salary and a fixed 13th month.27 holidays, 4 extra "earnable" holidays based on age and years of service, 4 afternoons off (Good Friday, 5 December, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).A complementary life insurance policy.Opportunity for further development through study or training.Possibility of 1 home working day with home working allowance.Travel allowance of €0.23 per km.Good canteen at reasonable prices.Please contact Petra Kloet at our Rotterdam office or email your CV to ****** if you would like to know more about this position.
