We are looking for a Quality Control Engineer, with the speciality of Electrical&Instrumentation, for our Inspection Department, depending on Procurement Area for EPC projects.
Quality Control Engineer has responsibilities of reviewing all Vendor manufacturing documents (e.g.
Manufacturing Purchase Specification, Inspection and Test Plan, Welding Dossier, Test Procedures, NDE Procedures) to assure that they comply with Design and Manufacturing Codes and Standards and with specific Project Specifications.
He reports to Procurement QC Manager (Project) and to the Head of Quality Control Engineers section (Corporate).
Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Review of Project Specifications (Manufacturing, Quality Control).
Detection of Quality Control requirements to be included in the Purchase Orders (POs).
Internal review of Quality Control requirements included in the POs before its issuance to the Vendors.
Review and comment Vendor manufacturing documents of the assigned Purchase Orders (e.g.
Electrical Equipment, Transformers, Switchgears, Instruments, MAC/DCS, Electrical and Instrumentation Cables, Fiber Optic Cables, Telecommunication Systems, etc.).
Main documents are: Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), Manufacturing Purchase Specification, Test Procedures, Visual/Dimensional Control Procedure, Final Quality Dossier, etc.
Plan, coordinate and schedule workshop inspection visits with all Inspection Representatives (Vendor, TR, Client).
To lead the Pre-Inspection Meetings for the applicable POs.
To request (internally and to external Inspection Agencies) and select adequate inspectors to cover all related inspection activities according to the applicable ITPs.
Handling of Notice of Inspections (NOIs) with all involved parties (Vendor, TR, Client) To attend to critical Inspection Visits when needed Review, control and distribution of Inspection Reports Managing of NCRs with Vendor and Client Participate in meetings with the rest of Project Areas and Disciplines (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) as needed.
Team working with Technical Departments and with the rest of the Project Inspection Team.
To deal with Client Inspection Representatives, attending meetings with them when necessary.
To have a fluent communication with Vendors in order to assure that Vendor understand all comments and Project requirements, with the aim to achieve a smooth manufacturing process.
To develop these responsabilities the candidate will need: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Telecom / Chemical engineering or Equivalent.
5 years' experience in quality control of Electrical and Instrumentation manufacturing of equipment and material.
Experience in producing/reviewing manufacturing and quality documents.
Sound knowledge of E&I normative and standards: IEC, IEEE, ISA Sound knowledge of Electrical Hazardous Area Classifications: ATEX, IECEx Knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI Codes.
Experienced in most used E&I equipment in Oil & Gas industry (Electrical Equipment, Transformers, Switchgears, Instruments, MAC/DCS, Electrical and Instrumentation Cables, Fiber Optic Cables, Telecommunication Systems, etc.)
Fluent English written and spoken (B2-C1) Based in Madrid, can be required occasional business trips.
