Job Purpose As Vendor Relations Manager – Senior, you will act as an independent business partner towards our production teams helping them to meet the deliveries to the client by identifying and sourcing suitable language vendors and / or individual resources for AI projects.
You will manage the resource pool (individuals, translators, agencies), negotiate rates and capacity, manage mandatory documentation and checks, while working with our internal database to make sure that our production teams have the right resources to process all the incoming work.
Furthermore, you will also get involved in setting of our overall sourcing strategies and related improvement initiatives, while working closely with other colleagues from vendor management, language quality assurance and other colleagues from the production teams.
As a senior member of the team, you'll also act as back-up of Team Lead in certain matters and help to train and develop more junior team members.

Job Overview Key Responsibilities   Your primary task will be to engage our existing vendors on AI projects including qualification, contracting, onboarding and performance management.
You will act as an experienced business partner providing vendor solutions to our internal teams which are responsible for delivery of AI related tasks to our clients.
Act as the first escalation point for internal stakeholders in RWS and for suppliers Make sure each allocated project is provided with the best possible solutions considering price, profile requirements, availability and service, using internal databases Ensure all required information is entered into information systems and make sure they are always up-to date with current vendor details Communicate/directly interact with suppliers, answer queries, provide support if needed You will collaborate to define the supply chain strategy and build suitable partner strategies for your assigned projects You will have a chance to influence the way we work and share your ideas how we could improve both our existing and future processes You'll collaborate on company-wide initiatives related to supplier management As a senior member of the team, you will also train/develop others   Skills & Experience   At least 4 years of Supply Chain experience from a role related to vendor management / sourcing or similar combined with relevant industry experience (ideally related to AI & data services) Experience on a client-facing role is a plus                                                 Excellent command of spoken and written English, with other languages as a plus Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint - Advanced-level user Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Ability to work independently while delivering on set objectives Ability to make decisions and stay organized when involved in multiple projects at the same time Ability to analyze large data sets, draw relevant conclusions and keep the data accurate at all times Process-oriented and improvement-focused mindset Positive personality with interest in Artificial intelligence Team player with can-do approach Life at RWS At RWS, we're here for one purpose: unlocking global understanding.
