The main responsibilities of this role will be: Create logic concepts as well as implement and document simulation models for the development of chassis control systems (ESC/TCS/ABS/AWD/e-LSD/ICC/etc.)
(component test, system integration, validation).
Work on vehicle integration of chassis control systems (ESC, AWD, e-LSD, etc.)
through collaboration with Ride & Handling and Brake engineers both in offline and online simulations (MiL, SiL, DiL).
A close collaboration with subjective expert drivers, Electronic Chassis Control engineers, electronics engineers and Driving simulator engineers is expected as well.
Support chassis control system research & development activities.
Prepare/write project reports.
Presentation of project results and support decision making.
To support project management and commercial actions:Presentation of project proposals and project results to customers.
Management of client communication and reporting.
Qualifications Technical qualifications: M. Sc.
or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Control Engineering equivalent.
2-4 years of experience in automotive chassis control system development with a focus on Vehicle Dynamics.
Knowledge of vehicle dynamics theory, control system design and modern control and estimation strategies.
Vehicle dynamics simulation experience with multi-body (ADAMS) and/or lookup tables-based models (VI-CarRealTime, IPG CarMaker, CarSim, etc).
Data post-processing skills.
Experience in model/software-in-the-loop simulation, Vehicle Dynamics, ADAS Systems and its integration into Real Time systems.
Proficiency in Simulink, MATLAB and Linux as well as strong programming skills.
Extra: Model Predictive Control know-how and its implementation into Real Time.
