Overview of the roleAs a Junior Accountant in our dynamic company, you will play a crucial role in supporting the accounting operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. In this role, you will manage accounts payable and receivable, handling invoicing and payment processing with precision. Conducting monthly and quarterly account reconciliations will be a key responsibility, along with assisting in tax filings. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate accurate accounting reporting, maintain accounting records, and support audit processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulations.Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment processing.Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.Assist with tax filings.Collaborate with cross-functional teams for accurate accounting reporting.Maintain financial records and assist with audits.Your profileBachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration (Economics or related field).2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a sales company or commodities sector.Familiarity with accounting systems (SAP, Navision, Dynamics).Understanding of relevant tax laws, accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), and regulations specific to the distribution industry.Basic knowledge of customs and VAT regulations is advantageous.Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Effective teamwork and communication abilities.Time management and organizational skills.Spanish fluent and English advanced.What we offerAn opportunity to work in an international environment as we undergo a digital transformation, reshaping our processes and systems in the heart of Madrid.Flexible working hours to support work-life balance.Free access to Linked In Learning.Competitive salary: €25.000 to €30.000 per annum (based on experience).Have we sparked your interest?
