Your mission The Institute Josep Carreras (IJC) is a comprehensive  cancer research center dedicated to conduct research and drive innovation in the epidemiological, preventive, clinical, translational, and basic aspects of cancer, with a special emphasis on leukaemia and other hematologic malignancies, with the final aim of finding a cure for these diseases.
The IJC is part of the network of Excellence Research Centers of Catalonia ( CERCA ) and has been accredited as a Severo Ochoa Center of Excellence by the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities in 2024.
Since 2018, the Institute has also been accredited by the Scientific Foundation of the Spanish Association Against Cancer ( FCAECC ) Additionally, IJC is one of the centers integrated into the IGTP's accreditation as Accredited Health Research Institute (IIS) by the Carlos III Health Institute  (ISCIII) .
The IJC's main headquarters is located within the Can Ruti Biomedical Campus, alongside other leading biomedical institutions, providing direct access to cutting-edge scientific and technological facilities, as well as complementary community services.
In addition, the IJC has  five locations integrated into reference hospitals : Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol, Hospital Clínic, Hospital Sant Pau, Hospital Trueta, and Hospital del Mar.
This facilitates close collaboration between basic and clinical researchers, fostering translational research that integrates basic science with clinical practice in clinical settings.
We are seeking a  Training Officer to join our HR Unit .
HR Unit aims to reinforce IJC's mission through delivering high-level services throughout the organization.
The HR Unit deals with all issues related to the employee life cycle: recruitment and selection, contracting, training and development, promotion, compensation and benefits, health, and safety, employee and student visa, onboarding, and leave management.
HR Unit is in charge of implementing the HRS4R action plan, and the Gender and equality plan, in line with the objectives outlined in the IJC Strategic Plan.
Main responsibilities To create and implement a new master's degree program in Mechanisms and Management of Hematologic Malignancies To create and implement a plan to cope with an aging workforce To create and implement a mentoring program To create and develop a new mobility exchange program for IJC staff To create and establish the IJC Alumni network To create and develop a new program to host university students in IJC research groups for Scientific Summer Stays Other transversal tasks of the HR Unit when required.
Your profile Bachelor's degree in psychology, pedagogy, or similar.
Master's in teaching or training methodologies or similar.
PhD studies will be an asset.
Three years minimum of work experience in research support.
Proven experience in training projects.
Experience implementing training projects in research will be an asset.
Familiarity with impact assessment methodologies and metrics will be an asset.
Knowledge in Artificial Intelligence will be an asset Fluent in Spanish, and English (C1 level) with excellent communication skills.
Good knowledge of Office 365; and advanced skills in Excel and Power BI will be an asset.
Ability to work within tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work cooperatively and inclusively with others to achieve shared goals.
Willingness to self-improve and grow knowledge and skills.
Passion for our mission and to contribute to boosting training and human wellbeing in our institute.
