Your role within our Kingdom We are looking for an experienced 3D Environment Artist to help with the creation of the amazing in-game environments for one of our exciting new games. Working with the Art Director, Lead Artist, and artists, as well as designers and programmers, you will be part of an art team, executing on the art vision of the project. This is an exciting role where you will create 3D environments and props, aligned with the project's given art style. You'll need to be a passionate artist with knowledge of art pipelines, technical boundaries, and integration techniques for game art content and a keen interest in utilizing the best techniques available to get the job done.
Key Responsibilities Work closely with the team to create in-game 3D environments and art content that fits the needs of the project, the game, and ultimately the player, in the required art style.Collaborate effectively with designers to ensure art fits the game design requirements.Engage with the planning for the project ensuring your art is delivered according to its needs.Work with all crafts needed to ensure your 3D Art is delivered to a specification that offers great on-device performance, within the required technical budgets.Skills to Create Thrills You will bring passion, knowledge, and experience in the field of 3D Environment Art as well as hands-on craft skills across a range of styles. You are a passionate artist and game maker, with great communication skills. You know how to collaborate effectively within a game team and are keen to create art that fits both the style and the game.
A creative person with a passion for games.You bring experience creating appealing in-game environments.Have the know-how to create polished and distinct gameplay assets.You can work with designers to create and iterate on prototype levels.Have a good eye for composition and colour.You are experienced at lighting environments for readability, mood, and atmosphere.Adept at using industry-standard software such as Maya, Zbrush or similar and the Adobe CS package.Able to work with both high-poly and low-poly modeling, sculpting, and retopology.Have some rendering/shading knowledge.You bring experience in high-quality UV mapping, texturing, and map baking.Bring relevant experience from gaming or a similar industry.Good communication and organizational skills.Proactive in learning and developing your skills.A portfolio demonstrating all aspects of your skill is required.Tasty bonus skills Knowledge of technical constraints, optimization, and implementation.Skills in animation and special effects.Experience from creating concept art.Skills in creating high-quality 2D artwork.Experience working in an agile project environment.Previous experience in creating mobile games.About King King is the game developer behind the world-famous Candy Crush franchise, as well as mobile game hits including Farm Heroes, Bubble Witch, and Pet Rescue.
