Gartner is searching for a Sr. Manager to work on Gartner's global Destination Conference and Corporate Events. As the Production Project Sr. Manager, you will provide strategic and tactical support in delivering the planning, pre-production, and on-site execution of multiple conferences, events, and projects. A successful candidate will thrive in a quick-moving environment with a keen attention to detail. The ideal candidate must have strong organizational skills, the ability to work across multiple teams and cultures, impeccable communication skills, and work well with a team but also independently.
Primary ResponsibilitiesProject Management: Leverage best practices to support live and virtual conference/event production planning processes and production projects. Effective project management including development of and leading the team to adhere to timelines and templates. Manage the production schedules and key milestone documents/templates across multiple conferences. Own agendas, share notes and actions out of critical production meetings. Management and tracking of editing and quality control processes for virtual events. Maintain detailed documentation and reports with attendee feedback. Own special projects and global initiatives related to production planning and processes. Continue to identify and drive opportunities to thoughtfully scale our business through partners, new centers of excellence, and technology.Key Stakeholder Relationships: Manage vendor relationships and communications with production vendors, speech coaches, freelancers, and creative agencies. Collaborate with and manage internal stakeholder relationships and communications with multiple teams across Conferences, Corporate Sales, Communications/Executive Communications Teams, Evanta, Research & Advisory, and Marketing.Budget Management: Assist with monthly budget reconciliation and tracking in coordination with management and finance. Manage, track and recommend investment requests across the conference portfolio. Invoice collection, tracking, and processing. Manage global project-based budgets.Process Management: Responsible for the creation and upkeep of Documentation, Tools, and Templates across the Destination Conference and Corporate Events teams. Proactively engage with the team to pursue and develop additional process improvements.Additional: Execute daily with Influence & Presence. Highly skilled in handling multiple complex and concurrent projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills to external and internal audiences. Exemplify a growth mindset.QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent.Minimum 7 years of experience in related field and industry.Project and budget management experience preferred.Highly skilled in collaborating with global stakeholders.Beginning to end understanding of live conference production and creative content creation preferred; agency experience advantageous.
