[V686] Senior Researcher Lleida, Catalonia An esteemed client in the paints and coatings industry is seeking a dedicated and innovative Senior Researcher to play a pivotal role in pioneering experiments within a well-equipped laboratory setting. This position is crucial for advancing their commitment to sustainable and innovative solutions. The successful candidate will be focusing on formulation, manufacture, application and testing of Food Metal Packaging coatings, to join our team in Vilafranca del Penedès, Barcelona.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and organize work on a daily and weekly basis with oversight from senior team members.
Formulate, prepare, apply and test the mechanical and chemical properties of coatings using established test methods and procedures to complete Laboratory Work Requests (LWRs) within agreed timescales.
Carry out programs of work in support of new product development projects following the StageGate process within agreed timescales.
Use design of experiments methodology where appropriate.
Record all results in an accurate and clear manner.
Contribute to the company's commitment to HSE excellence.
Share results with other internal teams and regional RD teams via team meetings, project reviews etc.
Candidate Profile: 5-10 years of relevant experience in Laboratory roles.
Master's or PhD level education.
High level of English and Spanish. Other languages are a plus.
Experience in Coatings / paint industries.
Experience in UV Technology would be valued.
Knowledge of polymer chemistry, principles and practice is highly valued.
Experience in the use of statistical experimental design is highly valued.
Available to work on-site.
