Here's what you'll doWithin the team:
- Lead the sustainability of the distributed team management, which is currently responsible for:
- Promoting (and ensuring compliance with) team principles.
- Leading the team's continuous improvement strategy.
- Leading staffing decisions.
- Ensuring the team's professional development (training, mentoring) is handled.
- Identifying and resolving internal team situations, beyond retrospectives.
- Identifying and resolving individual team situations, beyond mentoring.
- Facilitating collaboration with other departments.
- Ensuring collaboration with other teams beyond initiatives.
Additionally, you don't need to know the following things, but we expect a lively interest in learning and practising them:
- Collaborate constructively in a team that owns product discovery and delivery.
- Pair/mob most of the time with other team members.
- Ensure the code quality - testing is an integral part of what we do. We consider QA a skill, not a role.
- Run and deploy the services that we build. We don't have silos by stack or abilities.
- Use Kotlin, React, Terraform and AWS too. These are just tools, and we are happy to change them depending on the problem we want to solve.
Outside the team:
- Drive alignment between the team and department regarding goals, principles, and strategy.
- Define strategy for product development practices and principles.
- Main interlocutor with C-Level.
- Define collaboration strategy with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Customer service, Fleet operations, etc.).
