JC Aircraft Maintenance (JCAM) is one of Ryanair's Engineering company providers, supporting in both Line and Heavy Maintenance in Spain, Portugal, Morocco and France (SPMF) since 2010. We are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Manager to join a team of highly skilled staff, with an essential part to play in safely maintaining a fleet of over 450 aircraft for one of the world's largest and most successful airlines. The primary role of the Health & Safety Manager is to advise the General Manager and respective supervisors on all safety, health and welfare matters to ensure the Company complies with its statutory obligations.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesPreparation of the assessment of occupational risks and suggestions for control measures.COVID-19 biological risk management.Coordination of Business activities.Health surveillance management.Implementation of the company's occupational risk prevention plan.Management of training courses accrediting to the performance of employees.To carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms.Collaboration with H&S related Labour Inspections, including appearing in those Inspections as the H&S experts.Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and to bring to the attention of the General Manager responsible for Health and Safety any relevant new legislation.RequirementsSkills and Personal AttributesCan work on their own initiative.Well organised and problem-solving approach.Prepared to work in a dynamic, international and multicultural environment.Excellent communication skills.Required Qualifications and ExperienceEducated to degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering.Master of the 3 specialties (Workplace Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Workplace Ergonomics and Psychosociology).Strong working knowledge and experience of H&S and legislation. At least 2 years.Advanced level of English and Spanish.ProfileAvailability to travel.Driving licence.
