In this role you will create experiences that engage and appeal to customers, enhancing our usability and improving the user experience through the use of imagery, color, shapes, typography, and form, ensuring our experiences appear trustworthy, informative and true to our brand.The ideal candidate should have a passion for user-centric design and the tools and processes that make it happen. Your expertise should bring an understanding of component based design and design systems to contribute to a scalable, sustainable approach that enables speed to market, evolution, and optimization. This will be a highly collaborative role requiring partnerships with SMEs, Marketing, Editorial, UX Architecture, Technology, Research, and Product. The UX Designer, Marketing Experiences will report to the Experience Design Director, WSJ. This role is based in Barcelona and requires 3 days in the office, as per our current mandate which may change in the future.Responsibilities:Bring industry best practices and visual design principles to your solutionsCreate solutions that meet both customer needs and business objectivesCollaborate with UX Architects on optimizing the user flow and overall experienceCreate visual concepts that communicate the overall vision and approach for a project, developing the overall look and feel and delivering final designsOptimize experiences by strategically implementing images, colors, fonts, and other elements in order to enhance a design or interaction, and engage users
