Thermo Fisher Scientific's Nucleic Acid Therapeutics team is hiring for a Field Application Scientist in Europe.What will you do?The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical pre- and post-sales support for all nucleic acid products supporting RNA and oligonucleotide therapeutics. Support will be provided to Thermo Fisher Scientific's customers and Account Managers in all facets of their selling activities.The Field Applications Scientist will perform product capabilities seminars, troubleshooting, and training sessions with end customers and sales reps. This role will also handle customization requests and confirm technical product requirements of functionality to drive sales confirming and conveying unique customer requirements.Your ResponsibilitiesPerform successful in-depth product capabilities discussions to drive sales results.Provide technical troubleshooting and conduct training for customers and Thermo Fisher employees.Contribute to product protocols with customer's unique process needs in mind.Participate and instruct in customer workshops and schedule/run product seminars.Assist in meeting sales goals for each of the sales reps in their assigned territory and provide positive motivation and support to help sales reps meet their goals.Record customer interactions within our customer records management system, SalesForce.How will you get here?Your profile- BA/BS in the life sciences (Masters or PhD preferred)- A minimum of five years in a research or process development environment, with at least two years working with nucleic acid modalities such as but not limited to mRNA, siRNA, saRNA, etc.- High level of computer proficiency with troubleshooting knowledge.- Experience in a customer-facing support role.- Teaching or training experience, providing training and advice on how to use raw materials, equipment, and techniques for in-vitro transcription to solve scientific questions.- Familiarity with drug development; therapeutic life cycle from scale-up through commercialization, highly valued.- Travel: Up to 50% overnight travel.What We Offer- Competitive Salary- Diverse and inclusive work environment focused on your personal development- Continuous training- Workplace flexibilityIf you have questions, please contact Sr Recruiter Victoria Johansson Beverly.
