More generally, the group is now positioning itself as a key player in improving the quality of life and the ecological transition.
In 2022, Suez generated sales of €9 billion and employed 40,000 people. The group is in the midst of a transformation and is entering a new stage in its development.Supported by a powerful consortium of investors (Veolia, Meridian, GIP, Caisse des Dépôts), Suez has recruited a new Chief Executive Officer, Sabrina Soussan, who has formed a largely renewed Executive Committee around her.A new 2027 strategic plan was presented in September 2022 around several main axes:A refocusing on its 2 core activities (Water / Waste) and on its key markets.
In this context, we can note recent external growth operations (e.G.
acquisition in the UK of a leading player in the field of waste management, acquisition of the largest player in the treatment of hazardous waste in South Africa)The development of new innovative solutions associated with an ambitious investment plan (€850 million invested over 5 years)International development (target: 40% of turnover by 2027)Recruitment Context :Digital is set to play a key role in this new strategic project. As part of the group's new organization, a new entity was created in 2023 to take over all existing digital solutions: Suez Digital Solutions.
This new entity (650 people) is led by Patricia Villoslada, recruited in January 2023 and reporting directly to Sabrina Soussan. The Suez Group is now the world leader in digital solutions in the field of water management, with an international footprint (Europe with France, UK, Italy but also US and Australia)and more than 10 years of experience in the field. It offers 3 main product lines (HW/SW):- Smart Metering (connected meters, IOT platform, data analytics, 6 million deployed worldwide)- Smart Water (software solutions for global management of the water cycle, 1500 platforms deployed)- Asset Advanced (solutions for managing investments in water management infrastructure)In the Waste sector, the group's offer is less extensive (e.G.
treatment plant management application, route optimization application) but the potential is enormous (initial applications have been developed in the digitization of customer relations, flow traceability, etc.
).In an increasingly competitive context, the ambition is very strong for Suez Digital Solutions:to establish the group's global leadership in the Water sector and to accelerate in the Waste business and to multiply by 2 the group's turnover in these activities by 2027.To succeed in this project, Suez Digital Solutions must rethink its product and technical approach and in particular the way digital solutions are designed, developed and maintained.
