The role To build up our Global Tech Hub in Barcelona, we are looking for an Automation and Integration specialist to be part of our Digital Manufacturing & Analytics Design and Build team. Reporting to the Digital Manufacturing & Analytics (DMA) Program Manager, you will be contributing to the DMA solutions delivered to Nestlé factories.
As a member of the global Design & Build team for DMA, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and coordinating world-class technology solutions to support Nestlé's factories. You will provide particular expertise in the area of PLCs (Rockwell / Allen Bradley, AOI's), the Aveva software suite (OI, System Platform, InTouch, Edge, Historian) as well as integration expertise in AGV & Cobot solutions, Scales and Checkweighers, Printers. You will provide technical expertise in these areas and be responsible for the architecture and design of solutions under your responsibility. The automation and integration will be in the context of manufacturing (performance, quality, energy, process modules, etc.).
You will build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders such as Factory IT specialists, Regional teams responsible for deployment; development & QA teams; 3rd party vendors as well as the technical community within Nestlé. You will develop a clear understanding of the DMA product group strategy and work with teams to ensure delivery of high-quality services.
What you'll do Contribute to Digital Manufacturing strategy on Automation and integration solutions. Work with Nestlé's technology vendors to prototype and evaluate new solutions and software releases in the field of automation and integration. Responsible for design and delivery of automation and integration solutions in the DMA space. Activities include requirements, testing and quality assurance, development of training material and documentation. Ensure that solutions are secure and compliant and meet the needs of the business. Setting up and maintaining test environment for automation and integration solutions. Guidance on complex design or technical issues faced by the factories in the area of automation and integration. Provide technical expertise on PLCs (Rockwell / Allen Bradley), build and support AOI's; the Aveva software suite (OI, System Platform, InTouch, Edge, Historian) as well as integration expertise in AGV & Cobot solutions, Scales and Checkweighers, Printers. Provide guidance for PLC programming to the factories and solving technical issues. Run small-scale projects (managed work activities) for the deployment of functionalities. Work with Development, QA and Support teams in your area so that the different perspectives of project delivery are taken into account for delivery and operations. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience in IT, preferably working in a DevOps environment. Demonstrated experience in PLCs (Rockwell / Allen Bradley), the Aveva software suite (OI, System Platform, InTouch, Edge, Historian) as well as integration expertise in AGV & Cobot solutions, Scales and Checkweighers, Printers. PLC programming, XML and JSON expertise. Experience explaining technical concepts and technologies. Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English. Experience working in a global environment and with virtual teams. Experience in service management principles and execution.
