The RoleVeeva is looking for an Employment Counsel to join our expanding legal team in EMEA. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-paced environment with varied work and stakeholder involvement. Veeva is present in 20+ countries in EMEA with 1500 employees. Ideally, you are a fully qualified lawyer in the Spanish jurisdiction and in this position you will report to the Senior Employment Counsel in the UK. While this is a Work Anywhere opportunity, you must already be based and be eligible for employment in Spain, as Veeva does not sponsor employment visas or relocation processes for this role.
What You'll DoAssist with EMEA litigation and attend court with senior counsel across EMEADraft employee-related documentation - contracts, policies, trainingAssist Senior Counsel in providing training to HR and business stakeholders in employee-related mattersHandle day-to-day HR employee-related queries (absence, hiring, terminations, investigations, disciplinaries, and grievances)Assist Senior Counsel in managing, updating, and administering knowledge to stakeholders (templates, know-how, training)RequirementsQualified employment lawyer in at least one of the following jurisdictions: UK, France, Spain, or Germany1+ years experience (preferably in-house)Ability to travel in EMEA occasionally (court attendance, offsite meetings, etc.)Strong legal and analytical skillsAbility to be solution-oriented and pragmaticExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishNice to HaveIn-house experience within the tech/software industryLitigation experienceStrong advisory skillsAbility to draft advice and strategy simply and conciselyPerks & BenefitsJoin a small but great employment team with varied work and the potential to enhance your development as an in-house employment lawyerTravel across EMEA to attend meetings and court proceedingsFully remote but with office locations should you want to go inGreat benefits - fitness reimbursement, equity, and great on-site facilities (free snacks/lunches - subj to location)Remote Spain.
