User Experience Research Design ManagerJob OverviewThe User Experience Research Design Manager will be a subject matter expert in the domain of user research and human-centered design.
Your primary focus will be on the end user experience of IQVIA Connected Devices products and services, and your work will directly contribute to the development of delightful, easy to use, digital health research tools.
You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to evaluate end user experience, as well as leading initiatives which improve user experience of IQVIA Connected Devices products and services.
You will advocate for the end user in all that you do, collaborating with end users, project managers, engineers, product managers, business analysts, documentation specialists, scientists, medical experts, technologists, and others to ensure user needs are met.Essential FunctionsDesigns and conducts user experience evaluations to influence the strategy and design of connected devices products and services.Evaluates market and consumer user experience research and results, and updates design architecture based on discovered trends and patterns.Uses design tools to create storyboards, samples, prototypes, and templates for demonstrations and user testing.Works on problems of diverse scope and demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.Reviews proposed product changes or enhancements for compliance and alignment with desired user experience design and satisfaction standards, and suggests improvements.Advocates for end user experiences and needs in multiple facets of the organization, including strategy setting, product design, and service design.Conceptualizes and leads initiatives to improve end user experience of connected devices products and services.QualificationsExpert knowledge of human-centered design methods and tools, with extensive experience leading user research for digital and non-digital products and services.Experience working in a clinical trial setting, especially with study sites and participants, clinical trial management software (eSource, eCRF, EDC), and digital health technologies, will be a major advantage.Demonstrated ability to gather support for and lead cross-functional projects independently.Demonstrated ability to advocate for and apply user needs and perspectives during the product design process.Experience creating user-facing materials and internal documentation for software usability in a clinical trial setting, including personas, journey maps, research reports, and input to design specifications.Excellent customer management skills and demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, have difficult conversations with internal/external stakeholders and customers, negotiate solutions, and understand impacts of proposed solutions on the overall project.Graduate degree in computer or life sciences (or equivalent relevant experience) plus at least 3 years of prior relevant experience.
