As an Agile Release Train Engineer, you will be part of Digital Services and will be responsible for enabling the agile delivery of Digital Services in IGNITE. The role reports to the IGNITE Programme Lead in Digital Services and is embedded in the Digital Services Leadership team.
Accountabilities: Facilitate cross functional planning for the function (iterations, quarterly & annually)
Coaching the members of the release train on lean/agile ways of working
Optimize flow & value of joined up delivery and establish a culture of continuous improvements
Manage and coordinate budgets, forecasts, tasks, schedules, risks, change management, and status to support effective decision making and reporting to stakeholders and review boards
Manage relationships with business stakeholders to ensure the effective capturing of business requirements and commitment to objectives. Responsible for steering/stakeholder meetings, communication of status, issues, risks
Work with Capability Leaders to define release plans, grooming and prioritizing backlog
Act as release train engineer to the digital services team
Facilitate agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo, Sprint Retrospective
Influence changes that sustainably increase scrum team velocity
Drive effective risks & issues management, ensuring processes are in place and effectively used. Ensure these are resolved and escalate as appropriate.
Establish governance with Head of Digital Services including cadence of meetings to review progress against commitments
Essential Skills/Experience: Hands-on experience as RTE in an agile delivery environment
Experience working in a global organization and across cultural boundaries
Experience of Programme Increment Planning and in Agile delivery methodologies
Proven IT delivery experience, working in a matrixed team

You have well-developed organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal comms skills
You can work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment
You take ownership for the successful delivery of initiatives
Desirable Skills/Experience: Project Management certifications preferred (Prince2, PMP, MSP, Agile – Scrum, SAFe 5/6)
Experience with planning tools (Jira, MS Project, MIRO)
Experience with resourcing/budgeting and reporting tools (SNOW PPM)
Technical, Science or Business degree (or relevant working experience in these areas)
