As lead designer, responsibilities will include total delivery of the electrical and instrumentation deliverables and services on time, within performance budget and meeting quality expectations. Duties may include performing advanced design work serving as a technical specialist for a complex design assignment. This level requires extensive progressive experience in electrical and instrumentation design and involves utilization of project controls for cost, schedule and quality of projects. This work will be performed under minimal supervision.Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Responsible for the constructability, operability, and maintainability of the design within his/her discipline for the assigned project.Provides comprehensive, efficient, and cost-effective technical input into design related to his/her discipline for assigned projects.Responsible for the preparation of detailed design drawings within his/her discipline, in accordance with engineering design, required as project deliverables.Provides continual guidance to drafters within his/her discipline for assigned projects.Communicates and coordinates with Lead Designer for respective discipline to promote smooth, accurate, and scheduled completion of deliverables.Maintains and keeps organized a Job Data Book which contains all the pertinent information used during the design for his/her discipline for an assigned project.Reviews drawings within his/her discipline for assigned projects on a regular basis for completeness, overall quality, and adherence to standards.Ensures all drawings within his/her discipline for assigned projects have been properly checked and backchecked.Prepares and/or directs the preparation of final drawing plots and copies for transmittal relative to all project deliverables.Possesses an awareness of project schedule and budget.Assists with Project Audits when required
