Project Safety Assurance Manager Location: Madrid, M, ESCompany: Alstom At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your safety expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside young and proactive teammates. You'll manage, perform and ensure the activities related to safety assurance are applied in the projects. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, project management), coordinate the safety studies carried out through the life cycle of the process to ensure that safety requirements are met, and that the process is compliant with the CENELEC Standards for signalling projects. You'll specifically take care of providing technical expertise/guidance and support at every step of the project life cycle: from tender, design, commissioning and warranty, as well as providing technical leadership in Signalling Projects. We'll look to you for: Coordinate all the Safety Assurance activities on the project. Define Safety plan and manage safety workload and associated planning. Perform Safety analysis, manage Hazard Log, review Design, V&V, T&C activities from a Safety perspective. Build the Safety Reports and the Safety Case. Apply the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification and validation) defined for the project. Defend Safety Case argumentations in front of internal (QS, Safety Assessor) and external (ISA) assessors; define and follow-up action plans to close the findings of the assessor. Manage (if any) the Safety Assurance Engineers involved on the project. All about you We value passion and attitude over experience. That's why we don't expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role: 5 years of experience in Safety signalling projects (IXL and/or ERTMS track and/or ERTMS ONB and/or CBTC solutions). English and Spanish at a fluent level is mandatory. Relevant experience in Safety Assurance in connected railway signalling Safety Projects. Successful experience in working in a multi-site, multi-cultural environment. Working knowledge of Safety Methods: Safety Plan, Preliminary Hazard Analysis PHA, Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis FTA, Interface Hazard Analysis IHA, Operation & Support Hazard Analysis OSHA, Safety related Item List SRIL, Hazard Log HL, V&V Safety Report, and Safety Case.
