We are looking for a Senior System Administrator for one of the European Institutions in Brussels. Candidates need to relocate to Brussels. Work permit is not provided.Candidates need to be fluent in English. This role is also open for contractors.In case you come from abroad, As a job abroad is a big step and we know it, what can you expect of us?ALL EUROPEAN CAREERS will support and advise you during the whole procedure (assistance with finding an apartment, where to register, opening a bank account, how to request child allowance, etc.) and a relocation package for AEC employees and contractors.Candidates need to be fluent in English.Tasks and responsibilities:Administration of DG-specific infrastructures, systems and services; Installation and configuration of system components and server softwares; Operating and monitoring of systems, servers and DBs; Incident handling and problem handling: preliminary diagnosis of software problems, coordination with the central IT departments (for hosting, DB management, etc.); Scripting and configurations of systems, servers and DBs; Handling of backupsand restore operations of systems and DBs; Defining and documenting configuration, operations and technical procedures of systems, servers and DBs; Participate in architectural design/reviews with the external IT system provider; Security administration and monitoring; Advise in areas such as capacity management, contingency planning, IT service continuity management, automation of repetitive tasks, security; Participation in coordination and project meetings; First level support(user support for functional questions); Second level support (user support and technical support for technical issues); Provide trainings to end-users; Profile:Bachelor or Master degree; +10/+15 years of System Administrator/Engineer experience; Expert knowledge ofthe Windows and Linux (or Unix) operating system; Extensive experience with Linux Shell Script and Python; Experience with Windows Power Shell; Experience with task scheduling under Windows, Windows event debugging, IIS installation and management; Extensive experience with complex XML and XSD; Experience of Microsoft SQL Server; Extensive experience of database and software development technologies like backup/restore, tuning the DB (analysing execution plans and propose optimisation changes) and complex SQL queries; Nice to have: experience with DynaTrace, Splunk, Talend (ETL), Jira, BitBucket (Git); Fluent in English;Interested:Please send you CV to ******.#J-18808-Ljbffr
