Yes We are looking for a motivated individual with teamwork skills to join Dr. Núria López-Bigas' team focused on the study of cancer from a genomics perspective.
The lab is particularly interested in the study of mutational processes in cancer, the identification of cancer driver mutations, and applying these findings to precision cancer medicine.
In this line, we are developing bioinformatics tools with translational applications in precision oncology.
The BBGLab is a strong interdisciplinary and international research team with unique expertise in the analysis of tumor genomics data.

The candidate will perform scientific project management tasks within the EU collaborative project CGI-Clinics, coordinated by IRB Barcelona.
This 5-year project (Nov 2022-Oct 2027) aims to improve precision cancer medicine by building a bioinformatic tool to enhance genomic data interpretation and implement it in the clinics.
This is a new position, aiming to complement the multidisciplinary CGI-Clinics team in the BBGLab composed of cancer genomics scientists, software developers, bioinformaticians, project managers, and research assistants.
It is a unique opportunity to contribute as a project manager in translating the research tool Cancer Genome Interpreter (CGI) into a tool for clinical use, and to embark on this international EU effort.
DUTIES: Work efficiently and cooperatively with a team of researchers in support of projects.
Support the implementation of the EU-Funded project CGI-Clinics, particularly supporting the management.
Support the internal and external communication and the coordination of the project (Organize work package meetings, follow-up meetings...).
Manage and monitor the implementation of the CGI tool in clinical settings and expand its use in collaborations with national and international hospitals.
Gather feedback from the users of the tool and collaborators and analyze this feedback.
Stay in touch with the development team to inform on the users experience.
Support and monitor the implementation of the project in other collaborations and synergic projects together with the coordination team.
Support the writing of funding opportunities towards expanding the synergies and collaborations of the team.
Reporting preparation, monitor tasks and milestones, contribute to related deliverables.
Contribute to ethical procedures.
Perform other duties as required.
