Descripción: We seek a Unit leader in Artificial Intelligence and Scientific Computing.
The Spanish National Cancer Centre (CNIO) is committed to expanding its computational capacity and dealing with the challenges associated with artificial intelligence (AI).
With this aim, the CNIO is establishing a new "Artificial Intelligence and Scientific Computing" Unit for the development and implementation of AI methods linked to the needs of research groups at CNIO.
This Unit will enable CNIO's research groups and units to implement state-of-the-art AI methods and computational methods in general.
Additionally, it will offer computational support, advice, and training to research groups and units in AI model development and application,
software development, and data management.
We are searching for a highly experienced Unit Leader to lead a team focused on scientific data-intensive applications and AI methods applied to cancer research.
Criterios de evaluaciónWe seek a Junior Scientist with:
PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, with at least 6 years of postdoc experience.Experience in computational research, AI/machine learning, data mining, big data, and data storage optimization, high-performance computing (HPC) design and administration, and data-intensive applications.Leadership skills necessary to head a Unit at the CNIO.Applications must include a detailed CV, synopsis of research experience, and a research proposal.
