Within the Operations department of AXA XL Iberia, you will join the Middle Office team that aims to provide a high-quality service for our clients, creating and activating insurance coverage on complex risks. As Underwriting Assistant, you will be responsible for the administrative processes of the end-to-end policy lifecycle to be run efficiently at a high quality to serve internal and external clients. What will your essential responsibilities include? Contracts handling in an efficient and correct way for new and established Casualty businesses by:checking the conditions of acceptance of the customer's request, interacting with the customer if necessary, by using various available data sources to make the right decision and give the right advice to the broker/client following up until contract signing or refusal developing draft contracts/amendments that fit with customer needs modifying coverage concepts if desired by the client/broker preparing contracts which are beyond authority and discuss them with the team leader monitoring, planning, and issuing contractual documents (policies, endorsements, and certificates) Support Credit Control team in the cash allocation for accounts and the monitoring of outstanding unpaid premiums. Manage information and process: preparing and sending weekly reports, preparing premium flows, preparing and sending local policy instructions, controlling data quality. Follow up new guidelines published for policy administration and Global Programs management. You will report to the Team Lead Casualty - Operations. We are looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Previous experience in administrative and/or customer-facing roles in complex organizations. Experience in insurance companies is highly considered. Fluent Spanish and English (B2 - C1 level CEFR). Law educational background desirable. Effective relationship management skills with internal clients, vendors, and brokers. Problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills combined with a strong work ethic. Effective organizational skills, ability to prioritize and respect deadlines. Demonstrated experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Good team player, capable of self-learning and able to work within a team environment. Proactive attitude facing challenges. Ability to adapt and respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation
