To strengthen our team, we are looking for at the earliest possible date at our location in Madrid: Underwriter Engineering (m/f/d)Job DescriptionSupport the Engineering Dept to ensure development and profitability of the portfolio.Develop the UW Strategy, guidelines, standards, processes and tools to support this goal.Manage the referral business with UW authority.Participate in the business reviews of the BU portfolio.Support the team in managing CAT accumulation, reinsurance interaction and treaty renewal.Participate in some expert groups internally or externally.Data and process analysis: identification, management and communication of requirements from and to the line of business.Interact with the other functions e.g. Risk Engineering Function, claims.Be a representative of the BU in the market.Participate in internal projects.Qualification3 years of property insurance experience.Strong existing broker relationships with a concentration on the retail brokerage community.Strong underwriting acumen.Experience with, and strong understanding of, policy forms, including broker manuscripts.Proven customer relationship experience.Strong communication skills, including negotiation and presentation experience.Strong collaboration and team-building skills.Willingness to travel.Strong understanding of CAT peril modeling/pricing.Develop and build the Engineering book of business.Establish, develop, and expand broker and customer relationships.Identify and prequalify new business.Work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and make quick decisions while maintaining underwriting integrity.Native Spanish and good English language skills.Why MSIGEU?
