BSC combines HPC service provision and RD into both computer and computational science (life, earth and engineering sciences) under one roof, and currently has over 1000 staff from 60 countries.Context And MissionThe Quantic group is a BSC initiative to study Quantum computation.
This novel paradigm of computation has the potential to exploit Quantum mechanics to perform high-performance computations of Quantum systems and optimization problems.
The final goal of this project is the application of this new computing power to real-world problems.
