WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: An opportunity to work in a leading M&A; advisory team at a global financial institution, being part of transformational deals for large companies and global financial investors, supporting Santander in originating and executing Merger & Acquisitions opportunities, with a specific focus on infrastructure in Latin America.
As an M&A; analyst, you will support the team with: Research analysis Sector and company presentations Financial analysis Building complex financial models Performing valuation exercises using different methods Participating in client meetings It will be required to demonstrate a deep knowledge of M&A; projects or similar processes such as capital markets or structured finance transactions (i.E.
ECM, LBO, PF, etc.).
Any previous experience in advanced business modelling, valuation, preparation of information memoranda, and due diligence documents will be highly valued.
EXPERIENCE: Advisory in a leading investment bank, M&A; boutique, leverage finance house, or Big 4 accounting firm.
Solid financial modelling and valuation skills: ability to build detailed financial models, analyze the impact of proposed transactions on capital structures, perform sensitivities to key business drivers, ability to carry out business valuations applying different approaches.
Transactional/deal background focused on execution (i.E., participated in the project management/coordination of deals timely and properly).
Knowledge of the Latin American infrastructure market (i.E., key players, past transactions) will be a plus.
EDUCATION: Required: Undergraduate degree from a top-tier business/engineering university with strong academic performance.
MBA candidates will also be considered for associate roles.
Desirable: Masters Degree in Corporate Finance.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office with a strong focus on MS Excel (financial modelling) and MS PowerPoint
