The Job
We are currently recruiting in JTB Spain for a Project Coordinator M&E with previous experience within the MICE industry to join our passionate team.
This position will be based in Madrid or Barcelona.
Japan destination knowledge and Japanese speaking & writing are big advantages.
Candidates should ideally come from an event agency or a DMC and have previously worked with a wide range of clients.
End-to-end event/project management is key, and candidates must be able to manage the full scope of their own events, from answering the client request/brief with the best tailored proposal to financial reconciliation.

Responsibilities include: Create, plan, and deliver large-scale events for a variety of foreign clients across the year.Proposal creation and pitch, when required.Full logistics including accommodation bookings and all land arrangements throughout the full domestic territory.Supplier management prior, during, and after the event.Negotiating with third parties to maximize value creation.Client and account management to ensure repeat business.Onsite management of the event.Budget management and post-event reconciliation.Reporting to various stakeholders.The ideal candidate for this position must have: A passion for their job and the fast-paced event industry.A natural curiosity for the hospitality environment and the passion to share their enthusiasm & knowledge.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Enthusiasm in delivering outstanding results.The ability to prioritize and multi-task in a complex environment.The ability to run a number of different events in parallel and manage a wide range of third parties.Essential requirements: Previous experience/working knowledge in the MICE industry for at least 3 years.Fluent in Spanish, English, and Japanese.
Written and verbal language skills are essential.Deep knowledge of the territory and what it can offer in terms of MICE services.
