Come and join us to create the future together!Role PurposeThis role is for a UC designer in the Unified Communications and Connectivity Practice's Next Gen UC team.This will involve working in a multi-disciplinary team to build Vodafone's platform that will allow our customers to consume next generation unified communications products. The role will involve designing our core UC infrastructure which underpins Vodafone's global UCaaS, SIP and contact centre products and interconnects them with our various global transport networks, designing and building APIs to orchestrate these components, as well as helping to build and shape our UC products themselves.ResponsibilitiesWork in a team to produce emergent design for our next generation of UC products and work with Vodafone architects on new designs.Bring your ideas into the Platform team management on how best to enhance our capabilities.Work in a DevOps team to develop new capabilities for the UCC Platform and associated products based on the Product Owner's backlog to offer our customers an excellent experience in consuming our services.Research open source projects that Vodafone could leverage to create new services or enhance our architecture.Ensure that any designs or developed code has excellent unit testing coverage to ensure that changes can be made safely.Key AccountabilitiesCreate low level designs to solve Vodafone business problems in Unified Communications Connectivity Platform.Contribute to the development of the APIs supporting the Unified Communication Platform.Own and deliver the projects required to maintain platform integrity.Provide support to operational teams to solve complex issues and actively contribute to the team improvement activities.Learn new things and put them into practice.What You Bring?Significant experience in key voice signalling protocols and a demonstrated ability to use technology to solve business problems.Experience in managing a variety of stakeholders.Prior experience with another UCaaS vendor.Prior experience with Infrastructure as Code.Experience working in agile teams.You are enthusiastic and have the ability to adapt and self-learn.
