Job Purpose Key Accountabilities Responsible for the delivery lifecycle of smaller to medium scale (typically up to £500k) IT projects for a specific country or across the EUM region, often as a contribution (integration stream) to wider Group Operations or entity led programmes. Accountable for project specific delivery to the project sponsor/programme manager. Manage the project's scope and deliverables to defined and approved time, cost, and quality requirements while complying to the global governance control framework. Ensures the projects continuously meet the requirements and objectives of the customer and the achievement of the overall business case and benefits. Manage expectations and satisfaction of the project's sponsor and key stakeholders. Responsible for creating and adhering to the project communications plan, ensuring it targeted appropriately to the stakeholder and project audience. Provide timely and effective reporting to project's sponsor and key stakeholders. Establishes an effective project organisation structure and plans, estimates and schedules resource requirements at a project level. Directs and motivates project team members to deliver specified tasks to OTOBOSOQ standards using defined methodologies. Manage suppliers/third parties to ensure delivery to OTOBOSOQ targets. Manage project's risks, issues and dependencies, proposing corrective actions as necessary and implement effective change control. Creation and maintenance of detailed work plans for project implementation and transition to BAU production service. Responsible for the budget reporting and expenditure associated with projects. Change & Configuration Management responsibility. Responsible for reviewing & approving the quality of project deliverables. Ensure the delivered project meets the needs of the business as specified in the original requirements and that the agreed quality standards have been met. Responsible for ensuring all testing is carried out and reviewed and approved between appropriate parties, including the business users. Responsible for ensuring that the delivered project is maintainable and handed over with appropriate documentation. Measures Delivery to agreed OTOBOSOQ targets. Quality & Success criteria identified and agreed at start of project. Stakeholder and customer satisfaction. Benefits realisation. Delivery of agreed quality deliverables and common lifecycle documentation/reporting. Correct engagement and deployment of the PM processes. Accurate financial tracking and reporting, including understanding of budgets, actuals, committed spend and forecast. Effective use of planning and tracking tools. Evidence that well-developed contingency planning has been applied successfully when required. Solution proposal agreed as part of solutions governance process. Issues, Risks, Dependencies and Change effectively managed and escalated. Test cases and plans approved by end user environment. Post implementation review confirmed. Signed off support documentation and Service Introduction processes completed. Project closure (gates) exit criteria met. Your Profile Skills And Experience Professional accreditation in project management (Prince 2 practitioner, PMP/PMI, Scrum Master or equivalent). Expert in Project Management disciplines - Waterfall, Agile (DSDM/Scrum). A strong customer and commercial focus with a proven track record of successful delivery. Experience of project lifecycles, project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. Used to managing several projects simultaneously. Experience of budget management. A self-starter with proven decision-making ability. Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills. Experience of influencing Exec/Senior management population. Awareness of market trends in Insurance & the IT industry. Expert understanding of end-to-end IT solutions and the IT delivery lifecycle. Proven experience of managing relationships with 3rd parties.
