With a five-year base period and three one-year options, KBR ensures these bases operate smoothly, allowing deployed personnel to focus on mission execution.Job SummaryWar Reserve Materiel (WRM) Mechanic will repair and maintain a variety of equipment which may include motor vehicles such as internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors; electrical household orcommercial appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, or dishwashing machines; or heavy equipment including cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors, and pneumatic tools. Works under general supervision. Requires specialized experience in diesel and automotive repair and maintenance. Installs specified new or reconditioned parts and/or makes required adjustments and reassembles complete units. Disassembles engines and mechanical units to inspect parts and operating defects. Executes required preventive maintenance procedures. Performs inspections required by the company or government. Promotes teamwork and actively participates in the quality improvement process. Promotes safety awareness and complies with all applicable safety procedures and regulations. May also require knowledge of oilfield services equipment operation and maintenance.Roles and ResponsibilitiesAccomplish maintenance actions IAW applicable work cards and Technical Orders (TO).Perform all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all equipment IAW required standards (i.E., Technical Orders (TOs) and/or commercial manuals).Troubleshoot or bench-check all inoperable equipment or components IAW applicable TOs to determine the cause of the malfunction.Material & Equipment directly used: Electronic test equipment (voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency meters, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, electrical soldering tools, composite tools (general hand tools), technical orders, electronic publications (E-Tools), HAZMAT (proper storing, handling & disposal), operate equipment tugs and vehicles as needed, computers.Other duties assigned.Basic QualificationsUS Citizenship.High School diploma or equivalent.3 years' experience in aircraft support equipment repair field.Meet the qualifications of a repairman or civilian equivalent.Possess a valid US driver's license.Possess or have the capability to obtain a U.S. SECRET security clearance.MS Office Computer skills (Windows, Excel).QualificationsCertified Welder.EPA refrigerant recovery certification
