Program Summary: KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.
Job Summary: To prevent fire and minimize injuries, loss of life, property and the environment, occurring in periods of peace, war and military operations other-than-war and humanitarian support operations. Included are both man-made and natural incidents; fire suppression or hazard mitigation; rescue; mitigation or containment of releases of hazardous materials.
Roles and Responsibilities: Manage, develop and direct a continuous training program, including all aspects of Fire Services.Ensure that all course materials, handbooks, video library materials and other training documents are obtained and used in a proper manner.Complete oversight of the DOD Firefighter Certification Program.Enroll firefighters and schedule end of course testing with the Test Control Facility.Complete and submit certifications packages through the DoD Fire Fighter Certification Administrator.Attend government meetings, brief government officials, and others, regarding the operations of the training, and lessons learned during installation exercises and real-world events.Use knowledge of fire protection technical publications and fire codes.Use knowledge of the characteristics of aircraft fuel propellants, oxidizers, and weapons.Basic Qualifications: US CitizenshipHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Experience developing training programs and conducting classroom and practical training sessions.Experience preparing operating instructions, fire reports and general correspondence.Knowledge of fire suppression, rescue and emergency incident techniques, operation of fire equipment, and water distribution and supply requirements.Meet position certifications IAW DOD 6055.06-M. Employee is required to be certified by the Department of Defense (DOD) Fire Officer III (includes Fire Officer I, II), Fire Instructor III (includes Fire Instructor I, II), Fire Inspector II (includes Fire Inspector I), HAZMAT Incident Commander (includes Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Operations), Airport Fire Fighter (includes Firefighter I, II).Ten years firefighting experience in an organized fire protection function that provides fire suppression services. Three of the 10 years shall include aircraft crash, fire, and rescue services.
