Summary The E&C team is a global Group Function. We operate an ethics and compliance program to maintain stakeholder trust and protect the value of our company. We lead on setting and deploying standards across the Group, providing the tools to enable teams to meet those standards, and on monitoring compliance for our executive and governance bodies. You will interface with senior management and their teams on a broad range of topics to promote ethical and compliant business conduct in your region. You will carry substantial responsibility for implementation of the program and its alignment with our ethical standards and relevant legislation.
Duties and responsibilities Reporting to the E&C Manager, EMEA & International, you will be responsible for partnering with project, country and regional teams as follows:
Providing training on all aspects of the E&C program, and assisting teams to deploy broader communications, engagement, and eLearning resources.Ensuring that risk and control assessments remain current as the business grows and evolves.Conducting monitoring activities and providing insights to project, country and regional leadership, enabling them to fulfil their accountabilities for managing E&C risk and for implementing E&C policies, procedures, and controls proportionately for their area of responsibility.Being an intake channel for breaches or concerns raised by staff and other stakeholders, complementing the speak-up service and coordinating with other channels such as HR.Highlighting trends and insights that contribute to continuous improvement of the group's E&C activities, and supporting projects as needed to strengthen the E&C program. Knowledge Core understanding of Business Ethics and Compliance.Core understanding and expertise in ABC (Anti-Bribery and Corruption).Understanding of laws on sanctions, trade controls, human rights, modern slavery, competition, data privacy and AML (Anti-Money Laundering). Qualifications English: Fluent; spoken and writing.Fluency/competency in additional languages would be a significant advantage, especially Portuguese or the language(s) of one or more Southeast Asian countries.A legal qualification, and/or additional E&C qualifications or certifications would be an advantage. Experience Demonstrable experience in E&C is essential.E&C experience within the energy/renewables sector would be an advantage.Experience of E&C Program improvement and implementation would be an advantage.
