Junior Systems Administrator You will join our Infrastructure and DevOps team and you'll be involved in all aspects of systems administration from investigation and diagnosis right through to resolution as well as maintain and extend our internal automation, manage internal systems and support users as needed.
Responsibilities You will help to manage and operate all systems and services required for the Coniq platform to operate seamlessly and in a performant way.
You will identify and resolve problems, looking into automating as much as possible when facing any recurring tasks or issues.
You will work with and suggest new technologies and toolsets that can be used to create elegant solutions and are happy sharing these.
You will be responsible for finding the right balance of speed and accuracy when prioritising and take responsibility for seeing things through to a high standard.
You will help in managing tools or platforms that the company uses.
You will occasionally support your local team with setting up laptops or resolving other IT related issues.
Requirements 1 year of commercial experience in a systems role.
Experience providing technical support in an SME, scale-up or software business monitoring performance and troubleshooting issues as required.
A good understanding of foundational network concepts, such as the OSI Model, TCP/IP, Routing, IPSec or NAT.
Linux/Unix system administration skills (preferable Ubuntu).
Experience maintaining, managing and upgrading software, hardware and networks.
Experience maintaining and automating laptop setup on both Windows and Macs.
Working knowledge with cloud technologies such as AWS (specifically RDS, VPC, S3 and EC2).
Scripting knowledge with Python/Shell/PHP.
Basic knowledge of writing queries in MySQL or similar databases will make you stand out.
